Summer Solstice Dinner for 30 on June 18, 2022 in UDFB's Rooftop Roots Farm
Welcome summer at UDFB! Mark your calendars for the June 18th Summer Solstice Dinner which will be held at UDFB's Rooftop Roots Farm (on the top of the Food Bank). Thirty (30) individual tickets are being sold tonight (at $150 each). The dinner - appetizers, buffet main course, and desserts - will be catered by Cameron Catering - the Food Bank's favorite caterer (and caterer of tonight's event). Wines will be paired by Sommelier Lee Spires.
Passed Appetizers:
- Endive Spear filled with Goat Cheese Mousse and Balsamic Strawberry Relish
- Pepita-Crusted Chicken Skewer
- Bing Cherry, JalapeƱo and Lime Pico de Gallo
- Polenta Cakes Topped with Romesco and a Smoky Grilled Prawn
Buffet Dinner:
- Garlic-Roasted Chicken Topped with Spring Pea Pesto and Crispy Pancetta
- Seasonal Quinoa Vegetable Cakes - roasted vegetable and quinoa cakes served with basil aioli (Vegan/GF/DF)
- Spring Salad of Garden Greens and Rainbow Chard with Cherry Belle Radish, Snap Peas, Buttermilk and Garlic Chive Dressing
- Bull's Blood Raw Beet Salad with University District Food Bank Spring Herbs, Toasted Almonds, and Sesame (Vegan/GF/DF)
